The only thing I can really knock them for is the lack of an email confirmation, but that might just be the result of being a small-town operation. However, their small-town operation is very much focused on customer satisfaction, and I was more than satisfied. Especially because I had really been wanting to visit Big Bend from Houston, but really hate long drives, and they made it possible for me to take the train overnight to and from Alpine and just drive locally. If I'm able to pull off another trip to the area, I will absolutely be giving them a call.
Wonderful customer service! 100% satisfied with the car and the entire experience. We were met promptly at the Amtrak on a Sunday. The car was late model and very clean. No problems at all - definitely will use them on our next trip to the area.
We flew in to Alpine just yesterday to get our groceries and the loaner car was unavailable. Roger was nice enough to refer us to Alpine Auto Rental where we received such courteous service! Our rental was a very clean and well kept compact vehicle. Since we were a family of four waiting at the airport, my husband was given a ride to Alpine Auto Rental. Again, great ease of service and no problems whatsoever. Thank you for making our day!
I rented an economy car for 4 days, placing over 250 miles on it (RT through Big Bend and Davis Mountains) and when all was said and done (with the insurance plus whatever the heck else protection they offer) I ended up paying $95. Well worth it to me!
Called to reserve a car to finish our trip after our RV broke down. Told him we were driving to Florida. Drove an hour and a half to get there to find that they don't rent out of state... Really frustrating.
These guys are fantastic! Great customer service, super friendly. It is extremely hard to find a place that rents to someone UNDER 25 on a debit card. These guys did it and WITHOUT the exorbitant fees or ridiculous requirements (such as a utility bill, paycheck stub, blood sample) a certain green logo always does.
