Excellent service. Living in Terlingua (80 miles S) finding service is a problem. They confirmed a battery problem in about 15 minutes and while I was prepared for a $50+/- service charge they charged me nothing, simply "customer service". While they are relatively new to the area, I've heard little that isn't "great" about them.
Did state inspections real fast.
I had a rounded off fill plug on my truck's differential that needed to be removed. I figured it would be a quick and easy job to weld a nut or extension to the plug and remove it. Called BAM and when I asked for an estimate for the work, the customer service rep confirmed this would be a quick easy job and wouldn't cost much. A mechanic at the shop confirmed this once more when I arrived. One hour later I'm informed of their $95 "fire up the welder" charge. Which is the first I've heard of that, anywhere ever. Luckily I didn't ask them to actually change out my differential oil. Otherwise I may have had to pay the "calibrate the torque wrench" fee.
The guys are great for state vehicle inspections.
I what to say a big thank you to Van and his team. Me and my girlfriend broke down in big bend and the team fixed my Jeep without any problems. Van and the entire team were very helpful, nice and cost efficient. I wish you guys had a shop in Austin!!! Nils
