In 1996, two friends and I paid two guys to take us across the Rio Grande in their old row boat for $3. We explored Boquillas for a couple hours, shooting pool and eating lunch. When we were ready to cross back to Big Bend, we gave a whistle and the same guys picked us up. This is still my fondest college memory.
Very easy border crossing. Don't forget your passport and remember they are not open 24 hours. Dont get drunk in Boquillas and end up spending the night!
