Good elevated views with no hike required
(Warning: Young adults from Central Florida visiting for the week)This really isn’t an ‘overlook’ in the sense that you are peering over the Boquillas Canyon- however you have NICE ELEVATED VIEWS over the calm Rio Grande AND INTO MEXICO JUST FEET AWAY. It’s really one loop of the road… there’s NO TRAIL TO WALK because the overlook is against the (non-busy) road. Keep an eye on kids because there is NO RAILING TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM FALLING off the ledge.
Buying goods from the Mexicans are illegal. But you should do it anyways
Very remote but cool place to visit.
Very peaceful. It puts things into perspective. Desert is beautiful.
